A Raisin in the Sun
I really liked the movie better than the play because in the movie there are actual characters playing the roles while in the play there is only the text to read. The actors do fit their roles and I really enjoyed the actors and how they made the play come to life. I think Walter was best suited for the role because he really expressed himself and became that character. My favorite part of the play was near the end because they moved into the house and they didn't worry about the money anymore. Walter just cared for his family and wanted them to have a better home. The set was how I pictured it it was actually even better than what I thought it would be and I really liked this movie.English 11

I know money doesn't buy happiness but it could help make people's dreams come true. If I had $100,000 I would buy a car, most likely a Camaro. I would buy this car because ever since I saw the Transformers movies I liked it. Another reason I would buy this car is because I would like to have a new car rather than an old car. I would probably split the rest of the money with my family so they can have some money to enjoy. The reason I would give my family some of the money is because they were always there for me when I needed them and I would like to repay them in some way. I wouldn't waste all of the money on myself because that would seem selfish and I would be happy to share it with them. I would also save a bit of money for myself so I could go to college and be able to pay some of it without having my parents to worry about it.

A Raisin in the Sun
I think the play is okay so far because I usually don't enjoy reading plays and this one is actually getting pretty good. This play is kind of interesting so far and I think it will get even more interesting as we keep on reading. All the conflicts the main characters are going through make this an interesting play and I would like to know what will happen throughout the rest of the play. I would like to know if their lives get any better by the end of the play and if their problems are solved. I probably relate to Walter a bit because I would like to have a business and make a lot of money so I can support my family.I wouldn't want my family to go through many problems like the characters in the play and I would like to help them in any way I can. Walter is always trying to do everything he can to help his family financially and that is something I would do if I were in his position.

What motivates me to do better in anything are my parents because they are the ones who support me and tell me to do better in my life. They support me now emotionally and financially and I would like to repay them in the future, that is why I will do my best in school to get an education. My parents always tell me to do my best in school so I can get a better education than they had so I can get a career that will pay a lot of money. I would like to make them proud when I finish school.

1st Semester Reflection
What I learned this semester in this class was how to write an editorial, I also learned more on how to analyze poetry and about root words and prefixes.Another thing I learned about was rhetorical devices, analogies, about poets and their poetry. So far this class has been pretty easy, I thought this class was going to be more challenging.
